What is *folk*
Generally we know 'folk' means people it's no matter men or women. But Which people, alive people or death people, Village people like farmers and labour or township living people? Literate people or illiterate people?
It is a nice point. I think all areas people are included.But in ancient times people are living together and they shared food, drinks etc. Times are changed so people developed thought and dreams. In this world civilization and technology grouth
Day by day and increasing compitition. they(savage)hardworking and one time discovered new things and applied daily life.One thing is important that when they make a society and that place like a team or unit.A nice team members already have so they don't afraid animal. Alive people kind of helping each other. Always work and definitely they get a beautiful day. Now we discussed folk terms and it's which country used and what the meaning of 'volk' its means the people.lets go In search internet given information that Folk is a term used to describe all sorts of musical, oral and cultural traditions from specific regions and societies around the world. Folk comes from the German word 'volk' meaning 'the people' and folk music is often thought of as being the music belonging to 'the people'.Alan Dundes (Born: 8 September 1934, New York, New York, United Statistics,Died: 30 March 2005 (age 70 years), Berkeley, California, United State) was an American folklorist. He wrote a book which share lots of ideas and approach for folk,folklore etc.His great contribution in folk world the name of thebook"Interpreting Folklore"(1980). This book published by Indiana University Press also known as IC Press this press found in 1950 and Headquarters location Bloomington, Indiana.He mention above book the term of folk that"Term Folk can refere to any group of people whatsoever who share at least one common factor. It does not matter what the linking factor is-it could be a common occupation, Ianguage or religion-but what is important that a group formed for whatever reason will have some traditions which it calls its own. In theory a group must consist of at least two persons, but generally most groups consist of many individuals. A member of the group may not know all other members. But he will probably know the common core of traditions belonging to the group, traditions which help the group have a sense of group indentity. With this flexible definition of folk, a group have a nation, or as small as family".
